Improve your Listening…Improve your Life!

What if someone told you that there was a way to unlock the hidden potential that is trapped inside your child’s brain? That you could give your child the gift of communication…   and it begins with something as simple as listening to specially filtered music?  Watch as Anthony, a seven year old boy with autism, begins to recover his ability to communicate after using the Enlisten program.

Want to find out more about how you could use the Enlisten program with your child? Contact me at lisabscott at gmail.com.

The Enlisten program has been used to enhance learning in a variety of areas, and not just with children on the autism spectrum. It has helped children with ADHD, auditory processing, and other learning struggles. In fact, adults have even used it to enhance their focus and creativity in the workplace.

The Enlisten program is based on the work of Dr. Alfred Tomatis, who discovered that different frequencies of sound are associated with different functions of the body and brain. Children listen to specially filtered music targeted to address their particular areas of struggle. Below is a chart of the three frequency ranges and some of the most common behaviors associated with those frequencies:

Low Frequency (Sensory Integration)  0-750 Hz

  • balance
  • rhythm
  • coordination
  • muscle tone
  • body awareness
  • sense of direction
  • toileting
  • appetite
  • sleep

Middle Frequencies (Speech and Language) 1,000-3,000 Hz

  • memory
  • concentration
  • attention
  • language skills
  • cognitive skills
  • planning skills/executive function
  • following multi-step instructions
  • vocal control

High Frequencies (Creativity) 4,000 Hz +

  • energy
  • mood
  • sound sensitivity
  • coping skills
  • reduced anxiety
  • focus and attention
  • social skills
  • improved speaking voice
  • intuition

Could your child use help in any of the above areas?

I would love to talk with you about how the Enlisten program could improve the quality of life for you and your child.  Many people have already seen the rapid progress that often comes from combining the Enlisten program with the appropriate therapies such as speech and occupational therapy. I want that for you and your child, too.

If you are ready to help your child take a step forward in his or her developmental growth, let’s talk about how Enlisten can help.
